Save the Children and UNICEF ESARO share a simple, practical tool for use at the country (national/sub national level): the IYCF-E capacity mapping tool.
It’s a practical tool, that supports country clusters and or national nutrition in emergency mechanisms, in identifying the current progress made in relation to IYCF-E and what are the gaps that still needs to be addressed. There is a scoring system that helps define the level, and a reassessment will help see if and how things have improved. The tool was developed over the last 2 years, tested in several contexts, recently in Venezuela, DRC and currently in Ethiopia. Version 1.0 is now ready to be made available to the collective.
