What is the GRFC?

The annual Global Report on Food Crises (GRFC) offers detailed analysis of food and nutrition crises at global, regional, and national levels. It focuses on acute food insecurity and malnutrition among resident and forcibly displaced populations, identifies the immediate and root causes of these crises, and reviews nine years of related data. The report highlights urgent needs and potential short- to medium-term risks for vulnerable populations, and advocates for timely responses.

How is it produced?

It is produced through a joint effort by UN agencies, regional bodies, donors, technical organizations, and clusters, aiming for a shared analysis that supports effective humanitarian and development actions. The Food Security Information Network (FSIN) coordinates this work on behalf of the Global Network Against Food Crises (GNAFC).
