The GNC , Save the Children and Johns Hopkins University present:

"Resourcing Families for Better Nutrition Common Approach": Comparing effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of Cash Plus interventions in preventing Acute Malnutrition in Somalia

This event was held on Thursday the 10 of April 2025, and the video recordings –both in English and French– are available here

This webinar discusses the study Research to Action in Humanitarian Setting (R2HC), which tested the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of Cash Plus interventions on the wasting status of children under five and pregnant and lactating women. This study employed a mixed-method design, incorporating a prospective, adaptive cluster-randomized controlled trial. The presentation will also focus on the multiple sub studies included in the research study, such as:

  1. The analysis of determinants/drivers of acute malnutrition and households' experiences in receiving program interventions;

  2. The analysis of wasting relapse, to better understand the rates and risk factors for relapse in Somalia.
