The GNC is managing this webpage with global, regional, and country-level resources for COVID-19 to assist Nutrition in Emergencies (NiE) practitioners and coordination teams with integration of COVID-19 preparedness and response into humanitarian nutrition response. In addition to the documents that were developed by the GNC and Global Technical Assistance Mechanism for Nutrition (GTAM), it also includes other resources developed at global, regional and country levels that were neither developed nor endorsed by the GNC. Given the rapidly evolving situation, the webpage is continuously updated, please visit this page for daily updates and share information that is missing, directly to Faith Nzioka ([email protected])
Some considerations for country-level Nutrition Cluster/Sector coordination teams
- Establish a “COVID-19 and Nutrition Task Force” to guide the implementation and monitoring of programmatic measure to reduce nutrition-related mortality and morbidity as a result of COVID19 impact on public health, economy and social aspects. Adapt the Generic ToR for the TWG, templates are available in English and French
- Ensure that all Technical working groups (i.e. CMAM, IYCF-E, NIS/AWG) and cluster members have access to the latest GNC and GTAM programmatic guidance on COVID-19 as relevant to their scope of work and developed and are implementing risk mitigation and management measures for implementing partners.
- Collaborate with ICCG for the revision of the existing HRPs. Some activities included in the current HRPs might have to be revised / reprioritized or scaled down or up, due to changes in needs and operational constraints. The GNC helpdesks are available to support country clusters with any support that may be needed during this activity.
- Develop and implement a country-specific programmatic guidance/plan on the nutrition response and preparedness;
