While global commitments were made by member states, donors, and implementing agencies around the Humanitarian-Development Nexus in the World Humanitarian Summit, in Istanbul in 2016,  many are not operationalized locally and so often fall short of delivering real impact to affected populations. The GNC and the SUN Movement Secretariat are working together to move this agenda forward.

This webinar will provide the opportunity to hear from 3 recent case studies conducted in  Afghanistan, Myanmar and Niger, on the Humanitarian-Development Nexus for Nutrition. The case studies examined the ways in which humanitarian and development actors work together, or not, to enhance nutrition outcomes and aims to provide some inputs to the operationalisation of the Nexus in the nutrition sector. The webinar will also allow for conversations on how to strengthen the Humanitarian-Development Nexus for Nutrition and to collectively work towards it.

Gerda Verburg, SUN Movement Coordinator, and Stefano Fedele, Global Cluster Coordinator, will introduce their collaboration on this topic and why it has become prominent.  Catherine Chazaly, the independent consultant who conducted the case studies, will present the main findings and lead you to an interactive discussion on the key recommendations.
