  1. Insecurity resulting in disruption of services and rendering many areas inaccessible.
  2. Negative impacts of COVID-19 pandemic and global food and fuel crisis
  3. Poor infrastructure including roads, hospitals, etc.
  4. Inadequate number of health workers
  5. Poor WASH, food insecurity, and high levels of illiteracy
  6. IDP relocations in hard-to-reach areas
  7. Lack of Nutrition specific Emergency response preparedness plan
  8. Nutrition supplies (RUTF) buffer stock not available for non BHA  (donor) supported partners
  9.  Lack of operational guideline for the use of local products (Tom brown, Porridge Mum) for the prevention and treatment of wasting
  10. Lack of harmonize approach to Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) for nutrition, hence the need to develop a CVA operational guideline for implementers.
