Anteneh

Hi, my name is Anteneh Gebremichael Dobamo. I am the GNC  Nutrition Information Systems Helpdesk. The NIS helpdesk offers technical support regarding Nutrition Information Systems – this could be anything from questions regarding assessments and data collection and analysis strategies,  to thorough support on Humanitarian Needs Overview and The Humanitarian Programming Cycle in general. For example, recently the NIS Helpdesk supported the IPC Acute Malnutrition assessment and analysis planning for 2022 in ten GNC priority countries.

I have over 15 years of international experience in public health and nutrition program management and coordination with the UN and International NGOs.  For the last 9 years, I have been working with UNICEF in coordination and program management positions. My most recent role was leading the GNC Operational Support team. Previously I led the nutrition sector coordination mechanisms in complex major humanitarian emergencies in Sudan, Yemen, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

I have a Master’s in Public Policy and Management, Masters in Public Health and a higher certificate in Executive leadership.
