ROUND 7 SMART SURVEYS-3rd February 2021

Survey Background & justification vNational estimates revealed some deterioration in coping among vulnerable groups (mVAM & EmAFSS) vThese estimates, the lean season, and lack of nation-wide data on the Covid19 pandemic impacts on nutritional status of children prompted the decision for a 7th round of SMART surveys vThe aim was to assess the prevalence of acute malnutrition over the period, while observing the trends in the changes over the years. §Also, key was to check changes in Water, Sanitation & Hygiene indicators, given the guidance on practices for Covid-19 prevention.
